The Art Gallery of New South Wales has extended its opening hours on Wednesday until 9pm. The late Wednesday night opening features a free events program with films, talks, performances, food and wine, alongside the exhibitions.

The Art After Hours signature event of the evening’s program, is the ‘celebrity talk’ held at 6.30pm in the central court.

Previous speakers have included Bob Brown, Kevin Rudd, Peter Garrett, Tim Flannery, Annabel Crabb, Adam Spencer, Dr Karl Kruszelnicki, Andrew Upton, Barry Otto, Richard Tognetti, Bill Henson, Tetsuya Wakuda, Tom Kenneally, Paul McDermott, Steve Abbott (The Sandman), Marcia Hines, Paul Livingston (Flacco), Akmal Saleh, Lionel Rose, Katie Noonan, Gyton Grantley, Phillip Adams, Lee-Lin Chin, Andrew Denton, Bruce Beresford, David Marr, Akira Isogawa, Margaret Throsby, Libbi Gorr, John Doyle and Greig Pickhaver and many more.
