The Australian Government is refusing to allow the conditions inside the Manus Island Detention Centre to be revealed to the Australian public.
These photographs were sent to our office confidentially and they show profoundly unsatisfactory conditions on the island which are unacceptable for adults, let alone children.
When I visited the detention centre I had my camera and phone confiscated so I couldn’t take photographs.
Now we can see the conditions which vulnerable men, women and children are being subjected to by the Australian Government. These images are an indictment on our nation and it is time for this inhumanity to end.
