Media Release
Sarah Hanson-Young 30 Jul 2013

The Australian Greens have applauded two of South Australia’s renewable energy companies for taking home awards at this year’s Telstra Business Awards.

“This recognition of South Australian renewable energy companies is further proof that this state is passionate about clean, green energy,” Australian Greens Senator for South Australia, Sarah Hanson-Young said.

“The Greens support a clean energy future and when solar companies like Suntrix and Off-Grid Energy take home awards for their hard work in this growing industry it shows that we are all moving towards a common goal.

“The Greens’ commitment to increasing the Clean Energy Fund to $30 billion over ten years and the Renewable Energy Target to 90% by 2030 will open the door for renewable energy companies like these to help more South Australians live more energy-efficient lives and reduce our reliance on high-polluting fossil fuels.

“South Australia has led the way on renewable energy and it is vital that we continue to support crucial investment in sustainable energy technology.

“We wish these South Australian renewable energy leaders Suntrix and Off-Grid Energy the best of luck at the National Telstra Business Awards next month.”
