Don’t wait; Enrol to vote before it’s too late

Media Release
Sarah Hanson-Young 5 Aug 2013

With only 7 days to get on the electoral roll, Greens Senator for South Australia Sarah Hanson-Young is urging the youth of SA to make sure their voices are heard on Election Day.

“The Federal Election has been called and there are 51,000 young South Australians missing from the roll,” the Greens’ youth spokesperson, Senator Hanson-Young said.

“Time is running out for young South Australians to play their part in shaping Australia’s future.

“Everyone’s voice is important and, now that the date has been called, it’s more urgent than ever that all South Australians enrol to vote.

“The Greens are standing up for Australia’s young people and offering a strong alternative to the old parties who are locked in a race to the bottom as they race to the polls.

"The message to those South Australians who haven't confirmed their enrolment is: Don't waste this opportunity to exercise your democratic right, get on the roll and have your say in the future of our country."
