"Now more than ever is the time to be supporting working parents
straight after the birth of a child, and beyond, as they seek to
return to the workforce.

make the work and family arrangements that suit them best."
Senator Hanson-Young said the Greens would be moving an amendment to

push for 26 weeks' paid parental leave and community childcare in the
"Mt Coot-tha families are suffering with no right to paid parental
leave and only 5 childcare facilities to service more than 40,000
residents - two which are only limited hours, and one which is full,"
Ms Waters said.
"If elected as the Greens member for Mt Coot-tha, I will make paid
parental leave and affordable childcare one of my top priorities.
Queensland families deserve nothing less."
