South Australia’s youth could miss out on Election Day

Media Release
Sarah Hanson-Young 10 Jul 2013

Greens Senator for South Australia Sarah Hanson-Young is urging the youth of South Australia to make sure their voices are heard on Election Day.

“The Federal Election is just around the corner and more than 51,000 young South Australians are not enrolled to vote,” Senator Hanson-Young said.

“Time is running out for young South Australians to play their part in shaping Australia’s future.

“Everyone’s voice is important and once an election date is set people will only have a week to put their name on the roll.

"The message to those South Australians who haven't confirmed their enrolment is: Don't waste this opportunity to exercise your democratic right, get on the roll and have your say in the future of our country."
